The Blue Souls are a six-piece band from Melbourne, united by a shared love of blues, soul, and '60s R&B. Known for their dynamic performances and rich, vintage sound, The Blue Souls blend classic grooves with fresh originality. Formed in 2005 by harmonica player and songwriter Ben Campbell, the band took shape when he persuaded longtime friend and powerhouse vocalist/keyboardist Kate Wilde to come on board. Kate’s vocal range effortlessly spans the emotional depth of soul, the grit of blues, and the energy of R&B.
Her jazz-infused piano licks and signature Hammond organ tones are
key to the band’s distinctive sound.
At the heart of The Blue Souls is a strong songwriting partnership between Ben and guitarist Jeff Evans, whose collaboration has produced a growing repertoire of original songs that stand confidently alongside genre classics.
