Paul Carey is a Melbourne based guitarist and composer. After studying jazz in earlier years, he discovered Melbourne’s thriving Brazilian Guitar scene and immersed himself in this culture.

Paul lived in Brazil where he studied in Rio and performed around the city and other parts of the country. He has performed in Mexico at the Zihuatenajo International Guitar Festival along with countless Australian festivals

Throughout Paul’s career, composition has been a passion. He is an award winning songwriter and in recent years, his compositions have been featured at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

His music is a unique blend of Latin and Jazz styles fused with his own contemporary sound
which he has crafted over 20 years of performing and recording.
