Ramsay Duo is an acoustic/electric guitar duo with strong roots in folk, jazz and classic pop rock. The repertoire consists of well known pop/rock tunes by artists such as The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Bon Iver. The project takes a contemporary minimalistic approach to playing these tunes, with a strong focus on improvisation. The duo aims to maintain the authenticity and familiarity of the repertoire, whilst drawing upon modern jazz influences such as Bill Frisell, Gregoire Maret and Gilad Hekselman.
