Basement Spaceman is the artistic vehicle for Melbourne Singer Songwriter -Andy Brown.

Brown is an accomplished and prolific songwriter with 3 Basement Spaceman albums released and another about to be finished, he also provides a unique innovative approach to guitar playing that stands out in a solo setting.

The solo shows include an eclectic array of retro drums machine beats interspersed with bizarre collected samples. Somewhere between Yo La Tengo and Neil Young with the subliminal energy of Negativeland.

Basement Spaceman is regularly featured on Melbourne’s 3RRR, his single ’Not The Only One’ reached #4 on the Amrap Regional Music charts in 2018 and his music was featured on ABC Radio National. Well known in his homeland (NZ) he tours there on a regular basis and has also performed in Europe and the USA.
