Like a modern day Paul Kelly or Elvis Costello, in his crumpled suit and tie, Gavin Bowles is the “King of Nothing”. After 13 years fronting Sydney Rock trio “Picture Perfect”, Gavin has delved into solo territory with his brand new debut EP “King of Nothing”. The EP is an eclectic mix of guitar-based songs, with stylistic references to rock, blues and maybe even country. While never delving deep into genre specific territory, the songs are moulded and enriched by his exceptional guitar skills and effortlessly melodic voice; exuding a confident nonchalance that only comes with over a decade of writing, recording and performing. May and June will see Gavin (and band) hit the road for the "King of Nothing" Tour, performing the new EP plus other original material and selected covers.
