The Melbourne Ukulele Kollective, commonly known as MUK and established in 2004, present Lou Reed’s classic 1972 album, Transformer. Including such greats as Walk on the Wild Side, Perfect Day and Satellite of Love, the album marked the beginning of Reed’s solo career after his split with the Velvet Underground and his reclaiming of the quickly growing Pop-Glam scene. With Bowie and Mick Ronson producing the album and lending their musical and arrangement talents to the recordings, Transformer is a landmark of Reed’s legacy.
In true, colourful MUK style they will be embracing the transformative theme of the album and will be resplendent in a wide variety of Drag. Come as you are on the inside!
